Historic Interpreter - Mackinac State Historic Parks, Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island, MI

    Mackinac State Historic Parks (MSHP) is looking for candidates for various historic interpreter positions.  MSHP is a system of natural and historic parks located in Mackinaw City and on Mackinac Island, Michigan.  Sites include Colonial Michilimackinac (1770s), Fort Mackinac (1880s), Historic Mackinac Downtown (1820s), Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park (1820s), Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse (1910s).

    These positions are full time, seasonal positions and present in third person.  The candidate must be interested in learning and presenting history, have a great attitude and work ethic, and like working with people. 

    Positions include:
    Colonial Michilimackinac Interpreter (Men)
    Colonial Michilimackinac Interpreter (Women)
    Fort Mackinac Interpreter (Men)
    Historic House Interpreter (Women)
    Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park Interpreter
    Lighthouse Interpreter

    Positions start May to June and end late August through October.  Housing is available.  Training and costuming provided.
