This position is responsible for the development and presentation of programs designed to explain the natural, cultural, and historic resources within Davidsonville Historic State Park. The park interpreter coordinates and promotes special events, researches and writes news releases, and presents programs, demonstrations, and lectures to various groups inside and outside the park. Job duties include planning, designing, presenting, and constructing slide shows, brochures, pamphlets, maps, exhibits, park trails, signs, and other material for use in interpretive programs, as well as researching and documenting park history. Other key duties include assisting the Park Superintendent in park operations, park office functions, front desk duties, public relations outreach, providing customer service, maintaining park hiking trails, and other duties as assigned. A criminal background check is required.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree in natural science, communications, parks and recreation management, or a related field.
