GO WEST to Santa Fe for the 2007 ALHFAM Annual Meeting, June 1-5. Follow the Santa Fe Trail, Old Spanish Trail, railway, interstate and air routes to America’s oldest capital city in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1610 by Spanish explorers, Santa Fe is a gateway to the Spanish, Native and American communities, ancient, modern and historic, that make up the diverse and colorful heritage of America’s Southwest. El Rancho de las Golondrinas [The Ranch of the Swallows], one of the region’s most historic ranches, will be our host. The Glorieta Conference Center, just 20 miles east of Santa Fe, is the location of the conference and lodging. It is easily accessible with 360-degree views of the nearby mountains.

The conference theme, Following Old Trails, Blazing the New: Museums and Community, is a timely look at how museums interact with those they serve. Service to the community is the key to museums succeeding in the 21st
century. Take time to see how well we are accomplishing this task. Learn how others are making the connection. Visit and talk shop with our own community – old time ALHFAMers and first time attendees alike.
