The ALHFAM Bulletin: The Bulletin goes to all ALHFAM members four times a year. The Bulletin includes articles on a variety of topics of interest to the field, media reviews (books, websites and visual media), , sources for replicas and other advertisements.
The ALHFAM e-UPDATE: This email newsletter is sent to all ALHFAM members who rovide an email address, and the staff of Institutional Members who have signed up for member-only-content access to the website. It provides time sensitive news to members, including organizational information like the schedule of ALHFAM regional and annual meetings. and announcements of seminars and meetings, grant opportunities, and award programs in related fields.
Reduced Registration Fees for the Annual Conference: The annual conference is the largest single gathering of ALHFAM members. Hosted by member institutions in the United States and Canada, the format includes formal papers, interactive workshops, site visits and multiple opportunities for informal discussion. Sharing, fun and learning go hand-in-hand at this meeting, considered by many to be one of the most useful museum conferences available.
Regional Newsletter & Reduced Registration Fees for Regional Conferences: ALHFAM's regional representatives in both the United States and Canada coordinate regional meetings and distribute regional newsletters. There are six regions in the USA: New England, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest (represented by The Midwest Open-Air Museums Coordinating Council-MOMCC), Mountain/Plains, and West. There are three regions in Canada: Canada (Ontario and Quebec), Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island) and Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Yukon Territory). Regional meetings are open to all ALHFAM members regardless of region.
Membership in Professional Interest Groups: ALHFAM's Professional Interest Groups (PIGS) are standing committees that exist to encourage the sharing of information on topics of particular interest to living history practioners in museums. Many PIGS sponsor sessions and workshops at both annual and regional meetings. Current PIGS include:

Access to ALHFAM-L: ALHFAM-L is an e-mail discussion list available only to current ALHFAM members. Topics cover the diverse range of interests of the living history museum community in a current and lively format.

Access to Member-Only Content on the ALHFAM Web Site (www.alhfam.org):, including the Membership Directory, Replica Resource List, and past issues of the online version of the ALHFAM Bulletin and ALHFAM e-UPDATE.
Supporting, Institutional, Library, Patron and Joint Members: In addition to all of the benefits listed above, Supporting, Institutional, Library, Patron and Joint Members receive the Proceedings at no additional charge.
Institutional Members: Institutional Members may send staff, paid or unpaid, and volunteers, to the Annual Conference at the reduced registration fee. Staff and volunteers are also eligible to join ALHFAM-L and to receive the ALHFAM e-UPDATE via email. In addition, Institutional Members may list job openings on the website at no additional fee while their membership is current.
